All Inclusive Caribbean Resorts – the Bahamas

Bahamas Vacation Packages

The Bahamas – these two words sound like magic to me. This destination is so famous that I don’t even know where to begin. There are more than 700 islands in the Bahamas that offer you everything you can dream of –  from parasailing and kayaking to casino gaming and eco-tourism to the famous beautiful beaches. Besides the two most popular destinations – Freeport on Grand Bahama Island and Nassau on New Providence Island, there are quite a few other spots that you can go to, such as the Andros Island, the Abaco Islands, the Bimini Islands, or the Exuma Islands.

Let’s begin our tour of the Bahamas with the New Providence Island, which is the most populous and the most visited island in all of the Bahamas. Despite that, not so many actually know the name of the island; however, almost everybody knows Cable Beach – the most popular resort neighborhood on the island’s northern coast, Nassau – the capital of the Bahamas and the main city on the New Providence island, and Paradise Island – a smaller island that connects to New Providence by bridge. If you are looking for perfect, white sand beaches that offer numerous water sports and land activities, then this is the place to be. You name it, you get it: parasailing, fishing, diving, windsurfing, water-skiing, sailing, beach bars, seaside

restaurants – all are there, waiting for you. Looking for more secluded places? Then try the beaches on the far west and south coast of New providence. What else? How about all inclusive Caribbean resorts, local markets, historical sites, cabaret shows, and casinos.

Paradise Island has been exclusively developed for the tourists and offers a wide selection of hotels and resorts, including all inclusive resorts, not to mention shops, restaurants and a great choice of indoor and  outdoor activities, including casinos, bars, a golf course and aquarium. But, of course, most of all, you are there for the beaches: Cabbage Beach, the Bahamian Riviera, and, the most famous, Cable Beach, along with many others. Enjoy the sparkling white sand and turquoise crystal clear water that stretches for miles and provides easy access to motorized and non-motorize water sports facilities, restaurants and numerous resorts. Paradise Island boasts the best scuba diving experience in the world. If you like looking for the hidden underwater treasures, then join the underwater viewing tour, where old sunken ships, shallow reefs, ocean caves, coral reefs, and beautiful tropical fish will be exposed for your viewing pleasure. If snorkeling, water-skiing, parasailing and windsurfing is simply not enough, then horseback riding along the beach and a game of golf or tennis should do it.

Grand Bahama Island is the second most populated and the fourth largest island in the Bahamas, with an administrative center called Port Lucaya. The Port Lucaya Marketplace is where all the fabulous night life is concentrated, which is also the best shopping place on  the island. The Straw Market is where you go hunting for the local goods and inexpensive knick-knacks. The islands’ casinos and the International Bazaar, a shopping center with more than 100 restaurants and shops, are located in the town of Freeport . You can also find there lots of clubs and bars for a great night out.

The Grand Bahama’s main attraction, though, is its long beaches of powder-white sand and azure water. The best beach for water sports and swimming is Xanadu Beach; the beach of the Paradise Cove offers the best snorkeling experience; Gold Rock Beach on the eastern part of the island is the most famous beach, mostly for the largest underwater caves located near it, where scuba divers are flocking to from all over the world. Just 10 minutes away by car from Port Lucaya is the seven-mile long Mather Town and Fortune beach, spotting crystal clear water and powder-fine white sand.
