Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel

If you are planning to visit Paris in the near future, you are probably looking for that ideal hotel that can help you make your stay in Paris unforgettable. While there is no such thing as an ideal hotel in Paris, some of them are more popular than others. If you are one of those visitors who want a room with a great view above anything else, then Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel is the one for you. In addition to its hard to beat location – just a few blocks away from the Eiffel Tower and a mere minute’s walking distance from  Champs de Mars – you will also enjoy the proximity to some shopping malls and numerous restaurants and cafes. Other popular attractions located nearby are the Notre Dame Cathedral, Louvre Museum, and Arc du Triomphe. You can get to these famous city attractions either on foot or by using public transportation, if you are short on time. Bikes are also very popular in Paris, and you can easily rent one on a per hour basis.

Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel hotel is positioned as a 4-star hotel and priced accordingly. However, many reviewers indicated that the only 4-star thing about the Pullman Hotel Paris is its location. As always, reviews are mixed, but we do find that one common feature that all tourists who stayed at Pullman hotel appreciated the most was indeed its location. Keep in mind that the French hotel star rating system has nothing to do with the quality of the service, but rather indicates the amenities the hotel offers. Thus, a 4-star hotel will offer you a more spacious room (not as spacious as we are used to in North America, but still), air-conditioning, internet access, direct phone lines, luxury bedding, hair dryers, and bidets. All of the 461 guest rooms at this hotel also offer complimentary bottled water, in-room safes, and minibars. In the bathroom, you will find a bathrobe and slippers. All guestrooms in the hotel are non-smoking and offer 24-room service. Wi-fi is also available but charges will apply. Pets are allowed but only small ones.

There are 6 room types at the hotel, and you definitely want to book the one that offers a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower – after all, this is why you are staying there. Many rooms also boast a balcony, and you definitely want that too. Make sure you book one of these rooms if you want to enjoy a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower nightly lights show while lying in your bed:   Deluxe Room with 2 single beds, Executive Queen Room, Executive Room with 2 single beds, or Deluxe Room with queen size bed. The other two room types –  Superior Room with 2 Single beds and  Superior Room with queen size bed – offer a courtyard or garden side views.

There is also the Pacific Eiffel Restaurant on offer in addition to a charming old bar with the view of the Eiffel Tower in which you can relax after a tiring tour of the city.

As far as the reviews go, they are mixed, as we have already mentioned. For instance, about 67% of reviewers at TripAdvisor gave it a very good or excellent rating, while 15% of reviewers remained largely dissatisfied. People who reviewed Pullman Paris Hotel at hotel.com gave it an overall 4.1 rating out of 5. About 87% of expedia.com customers also recommend this hotel while booking.com gave it a score of 7.8 out of 10.

To enjoy your stay at the hotel you really need to book one of the Deluxe rooms with a balcony that provides a dramatic view of the Eiffel Tower, particularly when the Tower bursts into a shower of dazzling light at set hours each night.

With regard to the service most people suggest it was up to par with a few exceptions. Basically, this is as close to an ultimate American style hotel as it could be in Paris. Most tourists appreciate that the hotel staff speaks English and do not hate you for not speaking French. The front desk is efficient and very professional, and will give you an upgrade if it is available. There is an express checkout available for regular guests.

The guestrooms are very clean, comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. Beds are very comfortable too. Some showers are said to be tricky – wait until you figured out how the shower head works before you put yourself under the shower. Many gusts complain about the old-fashioned bulky TV sets that need to be replaced with the modern flat screens (could never understand that complaint  – have never been in Paris for a TV show). If you stay in winter, there is a temperature control, and for summer, there is an air conditioner. Sure, some hallways look rundown and are in need of renos, but this is not why you are staying there in the first place.

The room service is quite expensive and is not recommended by most reviewers. The buffet breakfast is, on the contrary, pretty nice and includes coffee, tea, juices, pastries, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, homemade croissants, and an omelet station. Therefore, it would be a wise decision to include breakfast into your rate. Remember, unlike in this hotel, most hotels in Paris offer continental breakfast, which you would be smart  to decline. You’d be better off having your morning coffee at a nearby cafe – better experience, much cheaper. Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel is in a fantastic location and there is no lack of places to eat in addition to quite a few convenience stores.

This is the best location in Paris near the Eiffel Tower. The Tower is just around the corner, and you can access all Paris attractions from there by shuttle, bus, or train. The metro station (Le Metro) is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. There will be quite a few taxi cabs parked near the Pullman Hotel Paris, but you really don’t need one, unless you need to go to the airport.

In conclusion, Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel provides you with everything you may need, including comfortable and tidy rooms, excellent customer service, convenient location and a simply spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. While some common areas look tired and in need of a facelift, the hotel goes out of its way to make your stay memorable. Being polite and tipping well may also enhance your stay at this strategically located hotel.
